Chhattisgarh Certification Society
The Chhattisgarh Certification Society, INDIA (for Forestry & Agriculture) for certification
was registered (Registration no. 405) on 18th of September 2003 as an autonomous
and independent society under the Chhattisgarh Society Registration Act, 1973 (serial
no. 44 of year 1973). CGCERT provides the services for various Forestry & agricultural
produce including the Organic Certification as per the National Standards for Organic
Production (NSOP), 2005 of Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, New Delhi. CGCERT
is accredited in INDIA by NAB (National Accreditation Board), Ministry of Commerce
of GOI, under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP). Our accreditation
number is NPOP/NAB/0018. CGCERT provides an efficient and cost effective certification
services that protect the interests of producers in terms of better financial returns
on one hand and other hand it facilitates the consumer with authentic produce &
products.

Personnel of CGCERT have undergone various national & international training programmes
conducted by APEDA, Ministry of Commerce, GOI & European Union under TIDP Project
for developing and implementing organic policies and organic certification programme.
Personnels of CGCERT have also been exposed to various other trainings conducted
by Bureau of Indian Standards, Noida & Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal
to become more proficient in the respective scope of activities. In order to learn
more about the relationship between organic buyer & seller in the international
market and exposure to organic production and certification. CGCERT has also participated
in various produce/products Conclave including BIOFACH-2008 in Nurenberg, Germany.
CGCERT has now become an accredited autonomous organic certification body in Chhattisgarh.
The inspection and certification services of CGCERT shall be in accordance with
the national standards of organic production (NSOP) of India and shall conform to
ISO Guide 65 (EN 45011). The NPOP for the production and accreditation system has
been recognized by European Commission and Switzerland as equivalent to their country
standards. Similarly, USDA has recognized NPOP conformity assessment procedures
of accreditation as equivalent to that of US. With these recognitions, Indian organic
products duly certified by the accredited certification bodies of India like CGCERT
in accordance with the desired standards will be accepted by the importing countries.
